Upgrade the N. Main Parklet, Frawley Park, and Centennial Park with an accessible restroom, themed play equipment, lighting, paths, seating, and landscaping to expand recreation, support events, and enhance the downtown park network.

Transform the Municipal Lot into a Multimodal Mobility Hub 

PROJECT COST: $300,000

Rebuild the Main Street municipal lot as a mobility hub with EV chargers, bike storage and repair station, park-and-ride opportunities, ADA features, lighting, and landscaping to broaden transportation choices and improve downtown access.

Implement Streetscape Improvements on Main Street

Install new sidewalks, decorative lighting, street trees, bike facilities, crosswalks, benches, and pedestrian amenities along Main Street from Commercial to Maple streets to improve safety, walkability, and the downtown experience.

Reimagine the former 1919 Fire Dept. into a Restaurant and Banquet Hall 

PROJECT COST: $404,000
NYF FUNDS REQUESTED: $303,000 (75% NYF Request)

Convert 7 North Main into a two-story restaurant and banquet hall with full interior build-out, preserved masonry, and outdoor seating to anchor dining and events at the southern gateway downtown.

Update 11-15 N Main into a Modern, Attractive Mixed- Use Building

Renovate the upper-floor apartment units and implement façade repairs, lighting, signage, and building-systems improvements to enhance housing quality, storefront appeal, and pedestrian comfort.

Construct a mixed-use building on a vacant lot with ground-floor commercial space, upper-floor housing, and rear parking to strengthen walkability and attract businesses and residents.

Reconfigure the interior and enhance the exterior at Azalia’s Juicery with an expanded production space, improved dining layout, a refreshed rear patio, and re-paved lot to expand and host the Peaceful Soul Farmers Market.

Modernize the Southtown’s CAO facility with interior renovations, kitchen and tech room expansions, HVAC upgrades, site lighting, and accessible entry to expand youth and family programming and strengthen a Main Street hub.

Establish a Public Art Trail & Branding Strategy

PROJECT COST: $373,000

Launch a coordinated branding, wayfinding, and public art trail linking Main Street, parks, and cultural sites with cohesive signage, a visitor kiosk, murals, and sculptures to elevate identity, guide visitors, and drive activity.

Establish the Angola Small Project Fund
